I was over in Bangalore visiting our offshore site and WIPRO n March and saw loads of classes advertised - there must be an IT school on every corner Good luck with the exam anyway!
May 16, 200718 yr Author Yes the India is top of the field now as far as IT is concerned. Also, the training is a fraction of the cost that it would be in the UK
May 16, 200718 yr Yes the India is top of the field now as far as IT is concerned. Also, the training is a fraction of the cost that it would be in the UK Oh I know ;-) 3 million IT workers in Bangalore alone! One country that is coming up fast in certain IT fields though is Philippines People like their attitude when speaking and dealing with you on the phone. They are very good at listening to what you want and not telling you what you should have or they have done it a different way unlike some countries I can mention ;-) Their cost is often comparable or better. They will never overtake India of course but there is an alternative in some area's now.
May 17, 200718 yr Search the internet for CBT nuggets and transcender exams. Don't worry too much about the CCNA exam. 80% is about the OSI model, so make sure you understand it completely. The rest is mainly TCP/IP, I wonder if there still any questions in the exam about IPX, AppleTalk or Netbios. Download some transcender exams and make as many as you can. Most CCNA exam questions will be multiple choice, some open questions and maybe a router simulation where you have to configure something. In those simulations, the ? function also works so use it.

Its on the same floor as the SE ED book store and the shop is close to the SE ED store (this is 1e or 2e floor I believe) www.itbookhouse.com
May 18, 200718 yr There is also a good IT bookhouse at Fortune, as you come up the escalators on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Has a large collection of Cisco books.

Hi Praset, Thanks for the advice.I take it you got your CCNA then? Did it open up any doors for you? I am struggling with the OSI Model a little, It contradicts itself too me.. What about sub netting? How much of that was in the exam?
