The current "Poppins" typeface is not very easy to read, especially as a wall of text. It is thin and some of the letters look pretty similar. For example, lowercase "a" is single-storey (rounded), which makes it looks very close to "o",  and not far off from "d", "c" or even "q".  Put them together and you can see how it can be dizzying:

To further the point, this typeface made for people with dyslexia uses double-storey a: https://www.dyslexiefont.com/

Instead of Poppins, I would recommend using a "boring" websafe typeface (one that is installed on a majority of systems), preferably sans serif such as Helvetica/Arial or Verdana: https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css_websafe_fonts.asp

Doing this will also save a bit of page loading time.

Just putting the idea out there ????

I hadn't noticed it but now that you mentioned it, I see your point. A quick check of other forums I read and various news sites shows me that none uses this Poppins style a. I second your motion to abandon Poppins.

If and when the font type on this forum gets changed to a type other than Poppins, the Poppins a will no longer show in the OP and therefore I made this image with an excerpt from the text of the OP:
