Just let me know, is anyone else having this problem to get a visa? Is it only in Udon or every immigration office requires you to give a permission from your embassy to get/extend a visa?

Should I seek another immigration in another city?

What type of extension are you applying for?

The only extension that requires a letter from the embassy is a 60 day covid 19 extension but normally you only need a completed affidavit stating the reasons for it.

It certainly not required to get a non-r visa.

I'm applying for the 3 months monk visa you posted days ago for me. Apparently they are asking the permission.

As you can see in the list of requirements there is certainly no requirement for a letter from your embassy.

Perhaps a misunderstanding.

Return to the immigration office in Udon and get a clarification of what they want. I think there was a misunderstanding as to what you wanted to apply for.

You have to apply at Udon if that is the province where you will be living.
