BANGKOK (NNT) - The Priest Hospital has explained that the death of Pra Kru Siripanya Medhi, assistant to the abbot of Wat Sampanthawong temple in Bangkok on the day he received his Covid-19 vaccine might have been due to underlying causes.

Hospital Director Dr Chumni Jittreprasert cited the monk’s medical record, saying he had diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. He had received 15 years of continuous treatment at Priest Hospital, and had been diagnosed with enlarged heart disease in 2018-19. The late monk had gone to stay abroad last year and had not taken his medicine as he usually would.

He said according to the unofficial autopsy report of Police General Hospital, blood clots were not found in the brain, heart and other organs. However, coronary artery stenosis was found, and this could have caused his death.

However, the medical team must wait for experts to summarize the investigation.

This is the same sort of argument when the UK reports a covid death, did they die of covid or some other health issue, the argument is a very simple one to resolve

In the case of UK and covid - would the person have died at that time if they had not been infected with covid

The same argument can be applied here regarding vaccine - would the person have died at that time if they had not received the vaccine.

I have no doubt that the conclusion in Thailand will be whatever they want it to be as long as it supports the use of the Chinese  vaccine and ultimately their goal to restore tourism ASAP

might have been a natural seeming death on paper,

but the underlying questions relate to what the 'Trigger' was?

like someone jumps from a sinking ship, then gets eaten by a shark - with no remaining evidence... so they say he drowned

When evidence becomes available about underlying medical problems, the conspiracists denounce it because there is only one outcome they want to hear.

Presumably these people are not qualified medically nor scientifically, and were not present at the autopsy, yet they continue to push their agendas driven by what - theology?

As far as I'm aware vaccination is not compulsory, why not simply follow your own beliefs without the scaremongering?
