After wreaking havoc overseas, the highly-contagious UK variant of COVID-19 has entered Thailand and sparked a fresh nationwide outbreak centred on nightspots in Bangkok’s upmarket Thong Lor area.

DCD says COVID-19 infection rise will ease in a month if prevention is strictly enforced

New COVID infections are expected to fall to an average around 440 cases per day a month from now, but only if all the preventive measures, introduced by the Disease Control Department (DCD), are strictly enforced, said Dr. Sophon Iamsirsithavorn, DCD deputy director-general today (Sunday).

Seven Days of Danger for Songkran underway in Phuket

The 52-year-old man who was riding his motorbike at speed when he lost control and fell onto the road in front of Supalai Hill housing estate on Trang Rd in Rassada, reported the Phuket Provincial office of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM-Phuket).

 

PHUKET: Phuket marked officially just one accident in which one man was injured in the first day of the Seven Days of Danger road-safety campaign yesterday (Apr 10).

Songkran tourists arrive at Koh Samui for long holiday
