Couple to face legal action for not disclosing their COVID infections

Health officials have recommended that the disease control committee of the southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat consider taking legal action against a couple, who allegedly concealed the facts about their possible COVID-19 infection in a way which put other people at risk.

Khaosan bars closed, workers get COVID-19 test tomorrow

BANGKOK (NNT) - Bars on famous Khaosan road in Bangkok are now closed in light of the latest wave of COVID-19. The city will be conducting COVID-19 tests on some 500 people in this area using the royally bestowed mobile unit, as bar owners figure out what to do after the Songkran holidays.

Phuket COVID cases climb to 98

PHUKET: Vachira Phuket Hospital is asking visitors to limit themselves to one per patient at a time to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the current outbreak, which has seen the number of infections rise to 98.

BMA Transforms Bangkok Arena into Covid-19 Field Hospital

PHUKET: As the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections in Phuket continues to rise, provincial health officials have pointed out that so far all of the people infected in the latest outbreak are experiencing only light symptoms of infection.

Thai fruit exports to FTA markets up 107 percent

Targeted controls to be introduced as daily new COVID-19 infections pass 1,000

Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has ordered authorities to develop tighter controls, including targeted lockdowns, in provinces classified as Red zones, as daily COVID-19 infections surge to a new high today (Wednesday), recording 1,335 new cases, following 965 yesterday and 985 on Monday.

IUDC increases COVID-19 testing capacity

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Institute for Urban Disease Control and Prevention has increased its walk-in testing capacity to 1,200 persons a day, in addition to high-risk persons with appointments. The institute will continue to offer COVID-19 tests until the situation improves.
