Multi-entry Non Imm "o" In Penang

Recommended Posts

21st June 2004

One of the agents in Penang reports that the Consulate has resumed issuing

multi-entry O visa's for the over 50's.

Good to show house rental agreement and

reasonable amount of money in the bank,

not necessarily the whole 800K.

Who knows what inspired the about face?

The issue of Multi-entry visas in Penang appears to have returned to normal.

Document are being scrutinised carefully,

however the money required in the bank is now 150,000 baht,

which is less than they used to ask for.

Rumour has it that the consulates around the world complained that

the "new regulations" would impact their income.

Hence the about face.

Another case of TIT, This Is Thailand

I'll just bet the various consular offices weren't too pleased with the abrupt implenentation of this new policy. Just when they had become accustomed to charging (the equivalent of) 5000 baht for a multiple-entry non-immigrant visa, they were told they can no longer do so. :o

Hello,

I previously never had to show bank details for the multientry non-imm 'o' visa,, has this changed? Also I was thinking of going the 'b' route as I have a company in the UK. What paperwork is required for this?
