Proactive screening in Bon Kai district of Bangkok on May 4th, 2021

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has reported eight COVID-19 clusters in the city, two of which is seeing a higher rate of infection.

The clusters are in Bon Kai slum in Pathumwan district, theBan Khing Community in Bang Khae district, the Sommasas Temple community in Pom Prab district, the Sampeng area ofSamphanthawong district, the Din Daeng district, the Dusit district, the Khlong Toey district and Suan Luang district, according to a Facebook post by BMA Spokesman Pongsakorn Kwanmuang yesterday (Thursday).

The spread in the first four districts appeared to be slowing, but the inverse was found in Din Daeng and Dusit, while the situations in the last two districts are being closely monitored.

How about we just define Bangkok and one big cluster, with varied degree of infection?

Because Bangkok holds 15% of Thailand's population, it has 50 districts and it helps people know where the ‘clusters’ are so they can deliberately avoid those areas.

I can avoid Tesco’s Rama IV and instead go to Tesco’s because of the Khlong Toey outbreak and instead choose to go to a different Tesco’s.....

Or more specifically one big cluster <deleted>!

The Authorities just need to lock down the whole City and use more Testing Kits.

Its no use waiting until the Vaccines arrive, they are just too late, not JIT.

That won't happen.  Seems like relaxation of the restrictions is more likely.  Fingers crossed.

How strange.  Two days ago there were 12 major clusters....

Maybe 4 of those 12 are no longer active clusters?

And admit tit's out of control... never.

Yup, I am very happy not to be in Bangkok at this time. My Thai family are all worried that

they will likely get COVID before they get their jab.  I wish them all luck, and hope they will be lucky

enuff to get both jabs and have at least another month before finding someone who is a carrier.

  Good Luck Thailand

Geezer

Common sense should tell you that any densely populated areas are going to explode if even one infected person gets in... slums & prisons tell you no common sense exists.
