Doctor Recommendation in Bangkok - Cancer

Featured Replies

My Thai sis-in-law (age 50) was diagnosed this week at Ramkamhaeng Hospital with breast cancer. She's not particularly impressed with the assigned doctor so we're now seeking recommendations for a well regarded doctor/hospital for for better care of her situation.

Prefer proximity to Bangkapi area, but not essential, thanks.

If wanting to go private then Prof. Youwanash Kongdan

Top breast cancer specialist in Thailand. She recently opened her own hospital which is solely for breast diseases, midrange in price i.e. less than places like Bumrungrad but still much more than government hospitals  https://www.namarak.com/aboutus

This may run to a lot of money. As she is Thai, she can get care free through the government system. She has to start at the hospital where she is registered under either the universal ("30 baht") or Social Security scheme. Do you happen to know which one that is? That hospital can in turn refer her to another. Within the government system and in Bangkok, Chulalongkorn's Queen Sirikit Center is best. https://chulalongkornhospital.go.th/kcmh/en/ec/queen-sirikit-centre-for-breast-cancer/
