real-deal gastroscopy at Thonburi Bamrungmuang?

Featured Replies

Has anyone had a gastroscopy/endoscopy at Thonburi Bamrungmuang hospital?

I'm curious to know if they treat it like some generic health/preventive procedure, or if they do a serious investigation and analysis rather than a half-assed quicky just for the money.

12.500thb+500thb hospital fee+3000thb doctor fee is probably as cheap as it would get for a farang.

Thanks for any insight.

Unlike colonoscopies, Gastroscopies aren't done as a preventive measure, only for suspected pathology.

Thoroughness and skill will depend entirely on the individual doctor.

at thsi particular hospital, I suggest  you request

I see you've recommended DR. VAROCHA MAHACHAI in other posts, so you must really trust her.

I definitely have *some* pathology in my upper GI. I've had upper GI endoscopies in the past and need to see what's going on in there since my last and with more recent exaggerated symptoms. I can't imagine why anyone would suffer through an endoscopy if they didn't have good cause.

Once again, thanks for your input!
