The researchers counted the number of venous and arterial thrombosis reported between December 13, 2020 and March 16, 2021 to the Vigibase database of the WHO Collaborating Center for International Pharmacovigilance (Uppsala, Sweden).

A total of 2161 thrombotic events were reported, including 1197 reports for Pfizer's vaccine, 325 for Moderna and 639 for AstraZeneca, over a 94-day period.

Most cases of thrombosis due to vaccinations affect young women.

 

The risk benefit is always favorable to the vaccine
