Daily News reported that a luxury house called Miraflores on one rai of land at the Phoenix Golf Country Club golf course in Huay Yai, Pattaya had been secured by commandos and other police from many divisions.

The action yesterday evening followed an incident earlier Tuesday when officers from a Chonburi international crime unit arrived at the property to serve a search warrant.

Dozens of shots rang out after the police knocked on the door.

The other officer, Sen Sgt Major Kreetha Thipnet was out of danger.

They reported that an arrest of a Chinese national, or Chinese nationals had taken place.

Neither they nor Daily News had details as to why a search warrant was served or other details.

Daily News said that three luxury cars were parked at the house - a Rolls Royce with bangkok plates and the number 999, a Porsche and a Mercedes Benz.

Officer Phanthep was hit in the shoulder, chest and abdomen.

Officer Kreetha was hit in the leg from a bullet that deflected from his chest.

The press were being kept at arm's length.

More about this as we hear of it.

"OK you stand here and when they try to shoot you the other guy will shoot them. Understand?"

"This is not how they do it in Narcos on Netflix."

Some nasty business ! They seemed to have been making a <deleted>-ton of money.

If I was RPT, I would think that keeping an eye on purchases of super cars and doing a little digging now and again might reveal some interesting things...

Anyway, my wife constantly tells me I am wasting my life playing computer games but thanks to Call of Duty, I can identify that pictured gun as a fennec.

Rapid fire rate but inaccurate as hell, that's just as well for RPT, whom I hope make a swift recovery. See, games have their uses after all !

So it took them over a day to get back to it or they were under siege?

I wonder why many criminals from Europe and Asia move to Thailand?

Most of the ""nice ones"" are also in Pattaya ????????????

They seized the house. What about the occupants shooting at them. Thai Cops are patethetic! My Nephew was killed in Nakhon Ratchasima because the Cops and Police could not stop one guy. The Siege at the mall went on for 24 hours. with dozens killed because Police appear to have no tactical experience. Appears the cops did what they are good at. NOTHING! and let the bass guys get away.

OMG I have seen that Rolls Royce near where I live.

it is just a Glock 17 with a MCK micro conversion kit and extended magazine. I play COD too and I agree with you it is a look-a-like but if u look clearly you can see the brown grip of the actual Glock.

Oh god damn it, my wife has now told me that is the final nail in the coffin and banned me from any more gaming.

That's very interesting, I can indeed see the pistol handle underneath, not really familiar with real guns but must admit that's a pretty cool conversion kit. I never knew such things existed.

If a Pad like that was of major interest to the RTP then there was obviously a good reason for it; so why oh why did they just send in two ordinary Cops to become easy targets for very dangerous criminals.    No back up; unbelievable !

And just down the road from that house they seized a few years ago from the Dutchman supposedly dealing in drugs.  Not much more than 500 meters away.

Driven past both of them dozens of times.  I guess crime does pay....until you're caught!!

You probably mean the Dutchman that had legal cannabis businesses in the Netherlands and never touched any drugs in Thailand...

are they sure it is a real Chinese as 9 is the Thai lucky number, I thought the Chinese lucky number was 8, more likely Chinese descendent like the rest of the clowns that run the country.

By making it more difficult for common "pensioners" to stay here , this country will attract more and more expats of this group --

who have NO problem getting any permit

to stay & establish " business " of their liking.

Money , lots of money -- will solve any barrier .....

The pensioners on fixed income can not follow this example ......

9 is also considered a lucky number as the pronunciation in mandarin sounds the same as longevity.  Apparently it can also be used to symbolise the sovereignty of the emperor and the symbol is often found in Beijing imperial architecture.

Seems they always have plenty of SWAT ninjas to flank the bosses at press conferences about the arrest of the latest 70 year old who forgot to do his 90 day report or didn’t wear his crash helmet, but no one capable or available to plan and conduct a proper entry and arrest operation. They could watch many UK police videos on YouTube for training.

A pity they weren't doing something useful, like importing Pfizer illegally to sell it on to desperate, vaccine-starved farangs in Pattaya
