After the success of Thaivisa’s Golf in Thailand forum, the company has just launched a brand-new forum called Golf in Southeast Asia, which has just gone live.

Golf in Thailand, even during the pandemic, has averaged over 108,000 views a month, making it the No.1 source for golfers checking out Thailand.

Thaivisa has now become the top website for general information on Thailand for foreigners with over 6 million views per month.

Golf is Big Business

International golf vacations is a huge industry across Southeast Asia, and many golfers like to book two or even three centre holidays.

Naturally it is difficult to book trips at the moment due to Covid 19  restrictions, however with certain borders due to re-open for tourists over the next few months, we wanted to have as much online information as possible.

Mike Bridge Thaivisa’s Golf Editor said, “We have researched what we believe to be the most attractive courses to appeal to golf vacationers. These include clubs in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Vietnam.

Viewers will find a general overview of each country, a short description of each golf course plus contact and website details.

“I am sure viewers from around the globe will have their own comments or favorites to add, and we welcome reviews from individual golfers as well,” added Bridge.

The directories do not include prices, as these can change seasonally. However, golfers will be able to check out the latest rates, by just going to their preferred club’s website.

In addition to the new directories of over 150 courses, thaivisa will also post the latest SE Asia golf news to keep golfers up to date.

Local destinations, travel agents and individual courses will be able to book upgrade packages plus banners, advertorials and to post special offers and events throughout the year.

Okay good idea but very underdone.  Before you launch something make sure it covers all the points of interest not just the name of a course and 3 or 4 lines that don't tell you very much at all.  All the broo ha ha about how good your forum was this is really pretty ordinary.

Not good enough.

Poor business practices.

I am a bit surprised Thailand does not have golf course close to a F1 motor racing circuit.

Buriram has a MOTO GP circuit perhaps it could be upgraded.

Perhaps tag a circuit on to a golf course somewhere close to an international airport - afterall DMK has a golf course between active runways.

Before I play at a course, I want to know:

How much it is for low and high season.

Whether caddies are included, or a separate cost. Ditto golf carts. What the expected caddie tip is.

Whether my Thai GF can walk around the course with me, free of charge.

How it is rated in reviews. Although those can be misleading.

In the North, there are hidden jewels such as Haripunchai. There are others that overrate their cachet. Due to the defamation laws here, none of them are likely to be named.

I've played Bear Creek in Dallas-Fort Worth. Nice course, but it was a bit unsettling having a plane roar overhead about every 2 minutes. Had me wondering what would happen if a golf ball got sucked into a jet engine.

Thank you for your honest comment. As time goes by we plan to add more information, however if anyone wanted more information just go to that club's website which we have shown. The concept is for you and your fellow golfers to add a review or a comment with photos or videos which will inform everyone.

We did not post rates as they tend to change regularly especially at the moment. We did however add the websites of 95% of all listed courses so you can get the latest deals and promotions.

Did you read about a Chinese passenger in main land China tossing a coin for good luck into the jet engine on her way to the stairs to board? She was arrested and the plane was delayed for hours.
