Thailand to restrict cattle, buffalo movements amid animal skin disease outbreak

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand has ordered strict controls on the movement of cattle and buffaloes after an outbreak of an a virus that causes lumps to form on the animals' skin and can reduce milk production, a government official said on Sunday.

Dozens arrested in Thailand in raid on gay 'chemsex' party

BANGKOK, May 23 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Thai police said on Sunday that they had arrested 62 men for breaching coronavirus restrictions in a raid on a gay "chemsex" party, the country's largest such crackdown during the pandemic.

South African COVID-19 variant cases in Thailand’s South confirmed

The country’s first three COVID-19 cases of the South African variant, or B.1.351, have been found in the Tak Bai district of Thailand’s southern province of Narathiwat, according to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today (Sunday).

A senior doctor, at Siriraj Centre of Research Excellence Management, is urging the government to procure the Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines quickly, in preparation for the possible spread of the South African variant in southern Thailand.

Rojana Dhamma Rescue Foundation in Sattahip temporarily suspends services after potential exposure of rescue workers to Covid-19 patient

Chonburi – Rojana Dhamma Rescue Foundation, Sattahip yesterday, May 22nd, announced on its Facebook official page a temporary closure of its rescue center after a group of rescuers and volunteers had rescued an injured person who was later found to be positive for the Covid-19 Coronavirus.

5 million doses of Moderna vaccine set for private hospitals in Thailand
