10,020 baht in cash.

Between 23?  Thats about 400 baht each,  not exactly serious money.     Breaking of Covid rules was not even mentioned here so presumably other than playing for cash they were not doing anything wrong?

23 gamblers and 10,020 baht. Nice work boys, that's some high stakes high power stuff you busted. Were they also fined for not social distancing and wearing masks LOL

From the linked article in The Pattaya News..

The raid followed Chonburi police receiving a tip-off and concern over the Covid -19 pandemic in the area and nearby provinces. The tip came from what was described as a concerned citizen trying to stop Covid-19.

All 23 suspects are facing charges of offenses to the Disease Control order

“ You party , you party !! “ ????

What is a Lottery? Does a Lottery make some governments money even though gambling is illegal...

A lottery is a form of gambling that involves the drawing of numbers at random for a prize. Some governments outlaw lotteries, while others endorse it to the extent of organizing a national or state lottery. ... Lotteries come in many formats. For example, the prize can be a fixed amount of cash or goods.

Obviously these poor girls were not providing proceeds into little brown envelopes....

Huge stakes.

Don't suppose they were also charged with drinking with more than 6 people. Wonder how many pieces of Silver the Grass got for reporting them.
