seeing expats here in Phuket visiting from Chiang Mai 

they are here to seek relocation to Phuket for cleaner air & beach/ sea lifestyle

no other reason right now to travel to Phuket domestically

as apart from the air quality & beaches Phuket is identical to everywhere else in Thailand

as dead or deader than disco for all travellers........plus rainy season now......

few cafes / restaurants / shops open ....thats it....  not expected to change much come 1 July

 

except govt surely MUST on 1 July permit re-opening of Phuket bars / live music / alcohol / cinema .....

if the “sandbox” concept is not to become a complete joke & be deferred to 1Oct with rest of Thailand

now reading that govt has STILL not made a final detailed decision for Phuket Sandbox........

 

SHA + accom. required for Sandbox, which so far is hotels only, so no guest houses & private villas

yet another govt. scheme to push hotel booking funds all to large local hotel owners........

 

what does it matter if hotel staff are vaxed or not if travellers all vaxed and why then PCR testing too ?

and why the arbitrary “70% hotel staff vaxed” ? leaving 30% unvaxed.......

minimum vax 70% = herd immunity 70%, which doesnt apply to individual locations .......
