Almost one million people in Phnom Penh’s former red zones get jabs

Vaccination drive at former red zones in Phnom Penh ended on Monday, with almost one million people getting inoculated against Covid-19.

 

The campaign started on May 1 and ended on June 7 and It took 38 days to get about one million people vaccinated for the first dose, according to General Ith Sarath, Deputy commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, and chief of the Defence Ministry’s vaccination team.

 

Former red zones are located in Meanchey, Por Senchey, Dangkor, Kamboul, Tuol Kork, and Russei Keo districts. He said that 999,902 people were inoculated in the former red zones.
