More clusters of COVID-19 infections have emerged in Bangkok and elsewhere, as new infections in Thailand increased by 2,290 today (Friday), according to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA). 27 more deaths were also reported. https://thaip.bs/8ub8pJn

Quite confused: why would you post this some 11 hours after it was published here? I thought these were new numbers.....

Got everything to do with previous. There is no appetite from voters to raise a racket about stranded citizens because they have been scared titless  by the current gov in the quest for re election. To be fair tho you can’t  be  expected to understand everything.!

Complete rubbish. There is one thing I do understand tho, tho is spelt though. It is true, though most Australians probably don't give a toss about the 30K+ plus stuck overseas,  though I don't think this has anything to do with re-election, you may be right and I may be wrong, though I think I'm right.????

More good news with more improvements of services.

Good to see they are not just sitting on their hands which is a big part of the reason they have been so successful.

If you say so: They only had over 6 months to plan for this but forgot to add ventilation and that it was rainy season so need to put up some more awnings.

They are taking 16 days to fix this...........................before they start again on the 27th

"He said that the first problem is the hot weather and poor ventilation in most of the vaccination facilities, due to the lack of air conditioning, resulting in several people queuing for jabs failing to get them because their body temperatures were too high. Some facilities do not even have awnings to protect against rain.

The second problem is the conflicting information about people applying for vaccinations and names missing from the list of those applying for inoculation, said Mr. Nanthachai."

Of course it can't be anything to do with the fact that many hospitals do not have sufficient supplies of vaccines and this may be the reason they have also stopped.

Today is today. One nano second this side of 12:00 a.m. is today. One nano second after is tomorrow. There is no such thing as a midnight flight. Today can still be relevant when it's tomorrow which of course means it's yesterday. Hope this helps.

The French are special after all.

What happened to harmonized and equal rules in the European Union?

You should get informed before posting. Health is not part of EU prerogatives so there is no such rule about health. For example, the vaccine initiative was an exception, and only because member States joined it as individual countries.

27 deaths  /  2290 new cases  = 1.1%

100%  -  1.1%  =  98.9% survival rate

What? me worry?

If you put the 1402 people that have died into the total population equation then your chance of surviving will be 99.998%

I heard today about cost benefit analysis with AZ and people dying. Cost of course = the death of a person. Just fantastic that the world has come to an economic formula when it comes to peoples lives. I was disturbed by this as I am with reducing people dying down to a percentage. No wonder the world is ......(you know the word).

No doubting your nationality - Aussie with a huge chip on his shoulder because his forebears were deported by the Brits for robbing (hence your forum name, no doubt 555).

I too live in Thailand with my Thai wife and son and have never heard anyone refer to it as "the English strain". Your link was in Thai, pointless for the majority of forum members.

It was terrible what you blokes did to our Aborigines, but I bare no grudges against English people.

You live here you say, but can't read or understand what people are saying? So you can't understand a single word of Thai but are telling someone who watches the news in the mornings and evenings what is really going on.

I am sure you have heard it, you just didn't understand it.

Ask your wife to read it to you if you can't read. Clearly described as the "English strain".

I am not sure how anyone could actually live here and not know that? As my dad says "their ears must be painted on"

Probably the number one talking point in the news for the last three months.

I'm not sure what you're trying to prove, you said:

"Not true. In Thailand it is called the English strain. I live in Thailand, that is what we call it over here. Newspapers, TV, online it is called the English strain."

None of the Thai links you provided there refers to the "English Strain" It only mentions either the British or UK strain, would you like me to screenshot them for you?

Today in the UK, 1 Covid death, Thailand 43.

The sad thing is all the UK media outlets are headlining the rising infection rate, basically scaremongering. I guess because that gets them more clicks. Fact is the vaccines are working because deaths and serious illness numbers are virtually zilch

However the article states that there were a few who suffered heart attacks, and then Thrombosis, which is and has been stated as a cause of death from the vaccine, at least the AZ one in other countries.

That's incorrect. The deaths that have been apparently linked to the AZ vaccine causing thrombosis with thrombocytopenia involved Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis (CVST) or Splanchnic Vein Thrombosis (SVT) - that's thrombosis in either the brain or the stomach. None of them involved heart attacks.

A post containing false or misleading information has been removed.  It is quite misleading to make statistical judgements based on the death toll from one day.

Also removed, are trolling, off-topic, baiting and bickering posts.   Stay on topic or face a suspension.

Hiw quaint...you really have not been here long at all have you. You do realise that the vast majority of Thais have no idea what the difference is between England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland...after a couple of months you will work out that they are not the most “precise” people.

Hang on a minute..do YOU know the difference between England, Scotland and Wales?
