Sadly, the clay phallus built in the middle of the road by villagers in Yothaka, Chachoengsao in the central region of Thailand to appeal to the gods for rain is losing some of its vigor.

 

In fact cracks started to appear after only a week. 

 

Large fizzures are forming in the sides and it could be destined for flaccidity very soon. 

 

A video featured a man suggesting that some tape might be applied to the unusual phallus in the meantime. 

 

The villagers turned to the gods and held a ceremony after sculptors made the phallus and painted it.

 

But so far there has only been drizzle and the salinity of the water for crops remains too high. 

 

What rain there has been along with the blazing sun has caused the cracks, reported 77kaoded.

Now this one on Samui IS a giant phallus.

It all makes sense now.

 

I initially thought, when I saw the photo of a giant dick in the middle of a road without knowing the story behind it, that it was some bizarre and highly dangerous way to make cars stop at a road junction stop line, stupidly presuming drivers just ignored the solid white lines before the dick forced them to.

 

But putting a solid clay phallus in the middle of a road without any care for road safety but for the rain gods makes so much more sense.

With a crack, it can be recycled as a giant Punani and save them from AIDS or something.

Poor thing was pounded so much it got a rupture.
