Now I've purchased my motor I'm thinking about having a GPS tracker.

Stumbled across a few cheap easy ones in Lazada but don't know if they are any good. Technology is just getting so cheap nowadays you don't really know if it's too cheap anymore. I.e. got a camera installed front window last week. Including fitting it was just over a 1,000baht. Bargain and works great.

Anyone have any experience with after market GPS trackers?

GPS devices are build in millions, many millions, for everything.

It's just one module and that's about it.

I am sure there are differences how good these devices work with bad coverage (lots of concrete buildings, etc.) And possibly the battery life is different for different devices. But the basic technology is standard and cheap.

i have one of these. works great with phone app. i have had it for four years. still working. this version is battery operated. you may want to have direct car battery connection. this one has a VERY strong magnet so you can put one on your girlfriends scooter or car. Very revealing.

the trick to all GPS trackers that need a SIM is to be able to monitor your phone account on line so you can see balance status.

AIS has great network coverage. i have traveled all over Thailand with GPS and Google maps.
