I really wish they would give details of exactly where these international tourists will be coming from.

But that would spoil the surprise given that a number of countries are not allowing overseas holiday travel (They don't know lol)

I already go ( again started last week ) 2 times a week ..

im puzzled as to how ‘ international’ arrivals will get there … fly to BKK , coached to Bali Hai .. somehow smuggled onto their own individual ferry’s

then on arrival ( at either Pier ) bussed to their little hotels ?
will the ‘ piers ‘ be partitioned off for the standard person living in Pattaya and have to board another ferry   ( like me ) ?

They will leave BK in an entourage of black limos lead by the man himself, escorted ahead and behind by the BIB with lights flashing, side roads closed in advance while the brigade goes through.

Then transferred under military and police guidance to a special ferry.

Special Tuk Tuks with plastic covering will then take them to their hotels, where they will have to remain ,for several days before being allowed a complimentary bottle of Leo only to be consumed in their room. No GF's allowed.

I know a couple of people where I live in the States who like me, have lived in LOS previously for many years. They have long time TGF's and want to return to LOS to visit or retire. Like me (who also wants to return to LOS for a visit), they aren't making any plans to return until at least a modest degree of sanity finds its way into the brains of Those Who (pretend to) Rule over there. I'm thinking about a year from now.

I also have a long time friend who once owned a couple of hotels in the Great Sandbox and was doing good. He lost everything and is coming back to the States.

To those of you still sticking it out over there. Hang in there as best you can under the circumstances.

How to get there? Parachute landing from my international flight?

And while I like Ko Larn for a weekend getaway from BKK I can't imagine to stay there for 14 days.

Then I'd be going to Phuket instead.

very confusing!!!!!???????

you read :

on one hand the Thai pseudo lockdown, increasing infection,  many death, intermittent supply of vaccines, lack of a good plan to vaccinate people( many complaints), mall open till 9pm, no dine in restaurant, no massage parlors,  restriction of movement, and expensive  covid tests

On the other, you have the  pseudo opening of Thailand. a lot of paper when getting the visa,  useless health insurances which does not work overseas(you must pay first),  fake quarantine with forced 5-star hotel purchase , 3  expensive Covid tests, monitor devices, inability to move outside the area, and quarantine to upon returning home.

They can say anything about opening of Thailand . Until the entry rules are not changed, the tourists will not come.

Bangkok post opinion states Phuket the "prison paradise"

It would be better to vaccinate the people in Pattaya and Nong Prue first, but there are NO vaccins availeble, shame on you Pattaya.

Shame on them because they plan to open up despite the obvious danger?

I would also like to point a finger at those either unable, or those blocking vaccine supplies to the area.
