Thais returning home from Bangkok, vicinities spread COVID-19 to 32 provinces

Many of the new COVID-19 infections recently found in 32 provinces are linked to arrivals from Bangkok and nearby provinces, said the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today (Thursday), as the country recorded yet another new daily death toll high of 57.

Nighttime entertainment venues ask that their industry be unlocked

BANGKOK (NNT) - A federation of nighttime entertainment venues and businesses, along with performers, have submitted a letter to the Prime Minister calling for relaxation of restrictions on their operations or a clearer timeline for reopening, with MPs assuring they will seek aid for them.

Thailand’s relegation to Tier 2 Watch List, down from Tier 2 last year, in the US State Department’s 2021 Trafficking in Persons Report “does not reflect fairly the significant efforts and concrete progress Thailand has made in combatting human trafficking,” said Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Tanee Sangrat today (Friday).

GSB to halt debt repayments by restaurants until Dec
