The order, issued on Sunday (July 4) by Phang Nga Governor Chamroen Tipayapongtada and marked to be in affect from now on until the further notice, came after a spate of people from other provinces wishing to travel to Phuket had gone to Phang Nga seeking to undergo testing.

I'm guessing the problem is they don't want to have to look after any positive cases from visitors as they can't even cope with the local ones.

if you think that is a valid argument while fighting a raging pandemic across Thailand then I have to fundamentally disagree

Lets say you are a Thai person on a short holiday to another provence and while there you get sick, do you think it is ok to be refused a covid test but instead be forced to get on a bus back to your home town/city knowing you may possibly have covid ???? - weren't some people recently arrested for for doing just that - isn't government guidelines to seek medical attention and not to travel or mix with other people

So lets not test, put an infected person back on the bus back to where they came from?

it seems to be part of a wider pattern of behaviour. the less you test, the less u find.problem, what problem?responsibility, problem solving, making decisions based on logic not self interest.ummm good luck with that.with the indian variant in full swing we are looking at serious problems and nos.as a foreigner u r very exposed with vaccs being basically unavailable till oct and thats what they say except for a lucky few, puket and samui seem to be your best bet.embassies get moving before the bodies start piling up and someone may interrupt your latest round of cocktail parties and bring this to your notice.the USA did that yesterday i believe and its time for the UK and EU except for france that is whos already aware of the problem to sort this out.come on PC UK you ran off in a fit of virtue signalling to assist BJP nuclear armed india that still has  a death rate thats minute compared to europe or north america, shame on you PC scum.
