June 23, 200421 yr Hello my daughter (Canadian) receives a 30 day visa upon arrival at the airport. She arrives on July 2nd and departs on August 2nd. (32 days). Two days over her allowed stay. Does anyone know the cos t of overstaying her visa or the cost to get a two day extension. She will be going to Thai School in Pattaya. I would appreciate someone who knows the address of the Thai Immigration in Pattaya where she could extend her visa.
June 23, 200421 yr She must make an extension at Immigration, Costs 1,900 Baht. Overstay is illegal: http://www.thaivisa.com/303.0.html
June 23, 200421 yr If it's definately only 32 days, it's only 200Baht a day overstay. To extend for 10 days is 1,900Baht! Two day o/stay payable at the airport is no problem at all.
June 23, 200421 yr It is payable, but it's a risk with overstaying. Did you click on the link I provided above? Do *not*, ever ever, overstay! Period.
June 24, 200421 yr Have her obtain a tourist visa now. She could also face airline boarding problems without it. In no case tempt fate with overstay for a few hundred baht.

Well ... there is one major problem I can see, If she is caught by Immigration in overstay, there'll be detention, deportation, and blacklisting. I wouldn't risk it. The Detention Centre here is definitely not a part of the Sheraton Group.
June 24, 200421 yr Pattaya Immigration is located at the bottom of soi 8 (beach road end). As already has been said pay the 1900baht dont overstay!
June 24, 200421 yr Almost forgot..........you can get your photos and copy of passport done at a little booth next to the immigration office when you apply for the extension.
