snoop1130 Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 The Thammasat University Hospital is renting two refrigerated shipping containers, to be used to chill the corpses of COVID-19 victims, because existing mortuaries do not have the capacity to handle the increasing number of people dying from the disease and other causes. A post on the hospital’s Facebook page indicated that it was reluctant to tell the public about the overcrowded mortuaries, but it has to tell the truth about the problem, now and in the foreseeable future, so all sectors of society can brace for a worst-case scenario in Thailand’s healthcare system. The post said that the hospital’s forensic science unit has the responsibility for Pathum Thani province and its vicinities and is, therefore, duty-bound to examine victims who die at home or in road accidents in its area of responsibility, to determine the cause of death, adding that the number of people dying, including from COVID-19, is steadily increasing and will soon overwhelm the hospital’s current mortuary facilities. Prayut and Anutin should be ashamed of themselves, both now laying low and not parading around the country as before... scared to put their heads above cover now. 6

They have no shame, they are completely oblivious to the serious state Thailand is in, due to their inability to perform their duties. Only thing they care about is making money. 6
Popular Post worgeordie Posted July 15, 2021 Popular Post Posted July 15, 2021 20 or 40 footers, you can get a lot of corpses in even a 20 foot reefer, things much worse than reported ? regards Worgeordie 3
sandyf Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 Another misleading article. The hospital handles deaths from all causes and the mortuary facilities could have quite easily been overcrowded without any covid deaths. People seem to think that pre pandemic there were unlimited resources here in Thailand. With thousands dying like flies, there must be an exponential market in these containers. 3

When 70 on average die daily countrywide, how can one hospital run out of morgue space? There are many hospitals and ppl move from morgue to crematirium. Are deaths much higher than reported? 1
