Popular Post Barley
Here is a link to a spreadsheet that calculates the 7 Day Rolling Average per 100,000 inhabitants in Chiang Mai and Thailand and compares the two by calculating the ratio Thailand / Chiang Mai 7 day averages per 100.000, so you know how much worse or better Thailand is faring as compared to Chiang Mai. I don't know if the spreadsheet will get updated. I like to see the 7 day/100,000 average, since it gives a much better feel than just the raw total number and I wasn't able to find this data on the web before. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CcdUyi3bxT4DU2qxRo40pgCA-x3jCQHvHfkG6wFaTbI/edit#gid=0 Edited July 27, 2021 by Barley 2

orang37
Thanks, Khun Barley ! It is interesting to speculate as to what extent sheer population density (per unit area) is a critical factor in rates of incidence of new cases and/or reporting of new cases. Perhaps factoring in the average outside-the-home travel time per unit time, or the average contacts with people per day ? Of course, if CM is sandboxed on August 1 all bets are off (I think a major earthquake is more likely). While I hope the greater CM area never reaches the current incidence rates for BKK, maybe that's wishful thinking; and, as Mark Twain said: "There are two times in a man's life when he should not speculate, when he can't afford it and when he can." cheers ~o:37; Edited July 28, 2021 by orang37 recovering identity after alien abduction

EricTh
What the... it's increasing. I wonder when Chiang Mai is going to become dark red zone if the government still refuse to lock Chiang Mai down and prohibit entry from other provinces.
