RickG16 Posted July 28, 2021 Share Posted July 28, 2021 I had been drinking tumeric tea with tea bags, but I decided to give the real thing a go and bought some freeze fried chunks of tumeric (to make tea with). A couple of questions... What is the best way of making tea with these chunks? Should I brew the chunks for a while and then siv them out? Or do I need to buy some kind of reusable tea bag to put them inside?..... I don't really fancy drinking the tea with these chunks floating around.... tonray Posted July 29, 2021 Share Posted July 29, 2021 Yes you should slice them thinly to maximize the surface area, then steep them in boiling water. After this strain them out, you can use any method same as you might use a tea or coffee filter. But why not buy them fresh?
