Did you check with April Thailand or April out of Paris?

I don't know who "them" is, and it's possible it changed the last 2 years, but if you haven't done so I would urge you to contact AA Insurance - either the woman recommended in the thread or Matt ( [email protected])  - and double check.

When I changed health insurance provider in 2018 I contacted AA insurance Brokers, and they (Jenny) recommended April International Thailand plan and David Shield (new back then). This is what Jenny wrote about the April plan back then:

Quote

My Health Essential Plan Thailand (Inpatient only)

  1.  High coverages up to 16,375,000 per policy year (about $ 500,000);
  2. No waiting periods, insured from day 1 (some exceptions, including pregnancy);
  3. Coverage in all Asean Countries except Singapore when applied for the Asean plan. It is possible to have Worldwide coverage;
  4. Worldwide coverage for medical emergencies (up to 30 days per trip);
  5. Deductible/excess possible;
  6. Reasonable premiums;
  7. Highest application age is 65;
  8. Possibility to insure outpatient as well;
  9. Total freedom of hospital choice;
  10. Cancer treatment (radio- and chemotherapy) is covered, as well as necessary investigations;

The "bolding" of item 7 is mine.
