BANGKOK, Aug 3 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha bought one ton of longan, mangosteen and rambutan and donated the fruits to the workers and volunteers who are dealing with COVID-19.

Deputy government spokeswoman Rachada Dhnadirek said the prime minister bought the fruits from agricultural cooperatives to help farmers and had them delivered to workers and volunteers on duty on the front line of COVID-19 control operations.

The fruit purchase contributed to the government’s “Happy Farmers” project to help farmers in the North and the South amid oversupply and low produce prices. COVID-19 outbreaks and labor shortages obstructed fruit distribution and strict examinations in other countries including China posed problems to Thai fruit exports, Ms Rachada said.

So he paid for this fruit, out of his own bank account?

Or did he spend the government's money?

Assume the former, but who knows.

And why not mention the amount?

And this is a metric ton? As in 1,000 kg?

Returning happiness.

Why don't people understand this?

He's a modern day Luang Phor Tuad performing miracles for his people.

Bet the flunky sent to get the great leader's ugly grid back in the news got a really good price

As previously stated it's absolutely beneath contempt to use people who's lives and livelihood are in jeopardy for a PR exercise but when you're as dim as this lot anything will do...

Cultural Learnings of Prayut for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Thailand!

Anything to gain browney points with his minions....

I'm speechless.  Lots of pre cold war era style marketing I see these days.  Not good.  Not good.  So so.  So so.  Not impressed.  Not impressed.

Considering the legendary effectiveness of this PM, they may well have received rotten fruits! ????

By the way, what kind of fruit does he like?  It would be funny if he prefers other fruits over those three.   lol

And you’re not, steven? I’d laugh if you weren’t serious of your adulation for this fine upstanding individual whom the whole country adores. Tell me I’m wrong. ????

Supplied by a lemon with contemptuous love mind the stone in the plumbs ????

If he (and others) are ever game enough to come out of hiding they’ll probably get some of it back.

So everybody in the target group across Thailand got some fruit? Sorry I don't believe that.

I just can't imagine that a total nation wide plan was developed and implemented to get the fruit to every person in the target group.

Even if there was a plan (it would be a very big pan), imagine the transport etc., logistics concerned. Does anybody believe the logistics/transport plan worked and wasn't interfered with on a big scale?

Next joke please...
