Popular Post CharlieH
I recently returned to having a motorcycle and was curious as to what others may have. I contemplated new as you may have seen in other topics but eventually decided on 2nd hand. Searched around and somewhat restricted of movement by Covid I ended up with a Benelli tnt300. I have started "playing" with it and added some extras. First up was a full service at the dealership. Then the mirrors had to be changed from end of bar to standard upright position. Added some frame sliders,Radiator guard, back rack, and top box. The exhaust also needs changing as the current one is too loud, thats on order. So, whats your ride ? How have you changed it? 2017 Benelli TnT300

Popular Post johng
My old 2 smoker (Nessie ) finally running ok (not 100%) after a total engine rebuild probably could do with a new carburettor I did try a cheapo china copy and it runs but there is no needle height adjustment to get the mixture just right..so its running on the old one for now..maybe forever more.

On the 300 in question the front pipe length is important. Do you mean headers.? On a 300 twin I guess it would be important. Road supersport bike have same length headers but compromise HP for road use by going 4 to 1.
VocalNeal
Multiple cylinders require a slightly different approach. Some are 4 into 1 some are two into two into 1. Depends on requirements. I think most high rpm dedicated ports use 4 into1 but I'm no expert. On a single that doesn't matter. Minis had long centre branch because the two middle ports were Siamese. But that may not be appropriate for bikes at higher revs.

No need to be expert really, 4 into 4 is best or 4 into 2 but manufacturers have to comply with so much with bikes on OEM with emissions. I've removed quite a lot of weight and rubbish off my bike. ???? My bikes exhaust is OEM and has 4 equal headers, which goes into 2 x 2 and then into 1 big one, and only change needed was an aftermarket end can. Kwasaki
The previous owner changed the end can, understandable because the OEM is very ordinary. What he got 3hp more or maybe 4hp so whow. The internal carb part changes gave much more so I guess you can call them mods. The air filtered mod change help a bit too but not so much that anyone would notice riding the road. Aesthetics of mods are basically what the rider of the bike wants or mods for a practical purpose.
