INN quoted Dr Opas Kankawinpong, chief of the Department of Disease Control as saying that the second lot of a 700,000 batch of Pfizer vaccine would reach its destination in 77 provinces by Saturday.

These are part of a US donation of 1.5 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine allotted as booster jabs for frontline medical personnel who have already received two doses of Sinovac between February and June this year.

The first lot of 442,800 doses was delivered earlier this month and the remaining 257,200 will be delivered by Saturday.

He assured the media that the vaccinations were going to their intended recipients.

I wonder if Dr Opas Kankawinpong is reconciled to the fact that nobody believes a word that he or any other of the shysters in charge of the entire mess say?

Why not share the complete rollout plan to all provinces instead of this piecemeal approach?  Then province governors and major hospitals will know what is going on.

And share the actual number of doses going to each province too.  Don't leave out Bangkok province like was done last time with the dark-red province distributions.

I get putting the front line medical staff first - but I await my Pfizer shot (in my dreams).

I think we can kiss that one goodbye for now - 13th and still no appointment notifications

I was opptimistic for a few days that they would follow through, now not so much

I was optimistic for a few days that they would follow through, now not so much

Anyway, got substantial information on another 40,000+ expats. Worth quite a few baht for email marketing campaigns etc.

Just thought I had better check my email before posting this in case appointments were being sent out. Hard to believe but-zip, nothing nada!????

Official MFA spokesman gave a radio interview this morning which will be on YouTube MFA channel later. According to Twitter replies they are saying the following " I asked my colleague at the Consular Affairs Dep & was informed that vaccines allocated for expatvac registrants include Sinovac, AstraZeneca & Pfizer. The vaccine you receive will be determined by the vaccination site, based on allocation & availability at the time."

So there it is Sinovac and AZ most likely with Pfizer for the chosen few...

I'm yet to hear of any of my Thai friends and their families getting vaccinated, not to mention any foreigners i know as well... but someone/someones getting those millions of shots...

I will not be accepting sinovac as I may travel later to my home country were it is not approved

Today 13th Friday,  can't deliver good good news for the intended farang expats.

Has anybody received any positives about an appointment with expatvax consular yet.?

That would require intelligent planning. Nuff said.

I think that is a resounding no.

Fingers here still crossed. I'm sure next week will bring good news all round.

Expats and front line make it worthwhile sending.

Their system email is down or too many,  If you want PFizer go directly to MedPark Hospital to their FB send them a messenger give them your age, passport number and BD,  I got this from a friend happen to be talking to him and said that is what he did so no harm I did as he noted 30 minutes later I got a return message with confirmation Code etc.. it is also rumor that if you meet the priorities like age 60 over I'm a few months close to 70 told you extra points for that?  Good luck!  give it a try what you got to lose? You didn't hear it from me?

I know exactly where it is on Rama 4 - I also saw the massive lines outside it, I have no wish to go near Bangkok right now, there is also a travel ban in place - I have my own transport

but thanks for the info

(from expatvac registration success email, still waiting for appointment)

For those residing in provinces other than Bangkok and neighbouring provinces (Nakorn Pathom, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan and Samut Sakhon), the Ministry of Public Health will assign a vaccination site in your area. Your vaccination allocation will be provided according to priorities set by the Ministry of Public Health, i.e. age group, vulnerability, high risk zone e.t.c

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand

(expatvac is Min of FA, if you live in the sticks you are dependent on Min of PH)

Don't give up yet, early days.

That is your choice I've also seen the photos but that was mostly the first day it started not everyone there was getting the Pfizer thereafter the lines were divided into other groups for the Sino and AZ, best way to say the were a bit disorganized and from other reports here and through a number of close friends also living in Pattaya gone in 11th,12th, 13th, said it isn't as bad as it looks once inside goes pretty quick and fast. In and out back on the road.

I not as paranoid although there are good reasons but Pfizer isn't coming to Pattaya for some time?

Koh Tao hospital got 30 doses for front line workers, so it sure is getting out in the corners of the country.
