Committee completes investigation into dropping of charges against Red Bull "Boss"

Pachon Yuthithamdamrong of the Office of the Attorney General said yesterday that the OAG committee investigating the man at the center of the dropping of charges against Red Bull scion Vorayuth Yoovidhya last year has completed its investigation.

The committee - chaired by Kaysit Phitsaiwongprakan - has been looking into the actions of former deputy Attorney General Net Naksuk as to whether he used his judgment according to the law or there was corruption involved.

The charges were sensationally dropped causing a public outcry and the intervention of PM Prayuth Chan-ocha in having the charges reinstated.

The man known by his nickname of Boss is charged with reckless driving causing death and cocaine offences in the killing of Sen Sgt Maj Wichian Klanprasert of the Thong Lo police in Bangkok  on September 3rd 2012.

Boss was driving a grey Ferrari and the policeman was on a motorcycle that was dragged for several hundred meters in the Thong Lo area.

The case has dragged on for years and the fugitive is now somewhere abroad after leaving Thailand in 2017. A Red Notice for his arrest is supposedly out with Interpol though ASEAN NOW has been unable to verify this fact.

Red Notices do not require signatories to Interpol to make arrests but are merely notices that certain people are wanted for offences in certain countries.

The Thai police say they are pursuing his arrest though with many senior policemen also involved in the investigation there are fears that findings that are unpleasant might be swept under the carpet.

Pachon told Daily News yesterday that he was not interferring in the committee's deliberations and that they are expected to present their findings regarding the actions of Net to the main AOG committee on Wednesday August 25th at their Chaeng Wattana HQ office.

When does the statute of limitations run out? Bet there'll be a rush to "investigate" further, before the time is up. Soon it might not be possible to squeeze out anymore from Bull boy....

Investigation's result : same same, but different.

Nothing to see here.

Do not hold an investigation unless the outcome is predetermined, then appoint the committee members to support that outcome.

The soap opera continues.

Mob justice will soon take over by the looks of things. Starting to heat up in Bangkok now.

Or, maybe it's just update the date on the previous report.

A committee is being set up to discuss the findings... the outcome will be reported on in due course...????

Waste of time.

No clue why this season of the long-running Lakorn : "The Boss and I" is a thing?

I guess it's meant to make it look like there is "justice" within the Thai "legal" scheme? But who is the audience? Everyone knows the system is flawed. Is it just more lipstick for the pig? Hint: everyone knows it's still a  pig. Marry it, or eat it.

Move on.

Oh how harsh ????

They prefer to call it a rewording of some of the findings, and since there were no

recommendations allowed (my guess), the committee has done its job.

Now the outcome of the AOG will be for broad discussion and a review committee, to make suitable recommendations .

That should take about five years, allows statutes to run out,  and allow further allowances towards pension and property portfolios , then retirement.

Matter dealt with.

Meaning: former deputy Attorney General Net Naksuk has 11 days left to present the appropriate whatchamacallits to the committee.

Yes it sends out an imprtant message to young people, you can get away with murder if you're rich, you can get away with cop killing if you are extremely rich.Just don't make the mistake of being poor.

Total BS. We know that. You know that. So, why even try to pull the wool over our eyes, yet again? The credibility and approval rating of this administration is likely down to about 1-2% nationwide. I do not think you guys even know how ridiculous you appear, at this stage of your game.

The real problem is, they will not go after these guys. Not the top bankers, not the high ranking guys, not the provincial authorities, not the super rich, and certainly not the army, or the police. They are all corrupt beyond imagination. And the level of corruption simply escalates, the further up the food chain you go. They police and army are not expected to be honest, and they are not expected to engage in law enforcement, traffic or public safety, on any level. It is an irrevocably broken and dysfunctional system. Any hyperbole to the contrary, is just a smoke screen, intended to deceive the most naive amongst us.

The Anti-Corruption Organization of Thailand (ACT) is one of the most feeble and ineffective of all the tools Prayuth has used to deceive the people into believing that he is fighting corruption. Who was the last high level authority, in the police, immigration, the army, or the active administration they arrested, charged, tried convicted, and sent to prison? Nobody. Zero. Nunca. Nada. Why? Because Prayuth has had a mandate from the beginning to do the very opposite. To protect the elite, the super wealthy who are guilty, those that are connected, and those who are in power. Just think Dark Tao. Just think Red Bull. The list goes on, and on, and on. Only the most naive amongst us believe he or ACT secretary-general Mana Nimitmongkol are sincere about this.

90% of the blame of the current waves of Covid, fall squarely on the tiny shoulders of the failed leader. So much could have and should have been done. He must be held responsible.

And pay them handsomely.

As much as I disagree with Xi Ping in China he did start to clean up corruption there - "sweep away black and eliminate evil"
Yes, some of the people put away are questionable ...

enabling officials across China to lock away entrepreneurs and other citizens whom they perceive

to have gained too much wealth or influence independent of the party
Phayut could have come in and done something meaningful like Xi did, but no ... Phayut has enabled more and more corruption to happen in the last 7+ yrs.

It's all for show, smoke and mirrors, dog and pony, you know the drill. Why are there still 'elections' in Russia? Why do oil companies pretend to give a rat's behind about the environment or climate change? Why does my wife still try to squeeze into a dress that fit her perfectly ten years ago, but is two sizes too small for her now? It's all make belief.

Anything goes to kill enough time to ensure that the statute of limitations against chicken s""t Boss is exceeded. This is just another chapter being enacted according to the script.

Still think I'll live long enough to see Thaskin, Yinluck and Boss fly into Swampy on the same Lear Jet and blend in as if nothing has happened.

The police chiefs 104 million will have grown some what and the minister for watches and all things corrupt will still be asleep - oh then there is the Czar suffocating in empty brown envelopes!
