apart from befriending certain royals (that includes prince harry), from which she draws her fame and influence,  she also coined with dr Anutin a grand scheme of favouring the Siam Bioscience over the other producers. Hence, the vax program is now in position it is, forced to be content with sinovac

You are rambling again: "She was formerly in charge of the Thai women's football team that made it to the women's world cup in 2015 and 2019." She has a good track record in coaching.

Looks like a well choreographed coup by the bigwigs in FAT to give her the coaching role. Coach Akira sacking seem unjustifiable as he didn’t have most of the key players who were either in Japan or injured. He also didn’t have sufficient friendliest due to covid. FAT shouldn’t have sacked him as he did have some good results before covid. How could coach Pang able to command respect with the National players when her credential was coaching the women NT. She better off being a manger rather than coach. Her earliest test will be the Suzuki Cup in December.

Four decisions Thailand got wrong in its Covid-19 fight so far
June 16, 2021

For some reason, the Thai government chose to rely on locally produced AstraZeneca and imported Sinovac Vaccine. It has been a disastrous decision with local AZ doses delayed and Sinovac Vaccines showing less than stellar real world results.

The decision to basically rely on an unproven company in Siam Bioscience to produce vaccines has been criticized from all corners including by Siam Bioscience spokeswoman Nualphan Lamsam who said that relying on “one horse” by the government was a bad decision.

According to the post from @jerrymahoney above, that claim is mistaken and she actually opposed relying on Siam Bioscience alone.

yes, and her sport qualifications is being $3bln rich socialite. That's what I have tried to point in the first place.

wikipedia says only "She is the main benefactor of the Thai women's national football team". There is a difference being a coach and benefactor, chairwoman.

She was the coach.

You could put Klopp or Peppy in charge and they would still win nothing as they are all so 'clever'

My wife and I watch the Premier League. She can't stand even her own national team. Too much fighting and cheating, she says.

I tried watching a few games, they complain and make excuses about everything. Not a foul, when it clearly was. Not offsides, when it's clear as day.

Much like my high school students. They had no Internet for their homework, when others saw them online elsewhere. They weren't cheating, when their answers are exactly the same as others. When asked what the answers mean, they can't explain. And always, even when the evidence is right there, deny, deny, never admit fault. Heh.
