Thailand minister for tourism and sports Pipat Ratchakitprkan was in Hua Hin yesterday to say that the seaside resort will open to foreign tourism and domestic tourism in less than four weeks.

He was joined by local leaders plus the Tourism Authority of Thailand chief Yutthasak Suphasorn in a face to face and video conference meeting, reported Ban Muang.

Pipat said the Hua Hin reopening was part of step two of Thailand's grand reopening on October 1st after targets to vaccinate 70% of the population were made.

Everyone agreed that experience garnered from the Phuket Sandbox scheme was valuable and could be utilized to pave the way for Hua Hin's reopening.

Local health staff said that more than 70% of the population in Hua Hin had now received 2 doses of vaccine.

If more doses of vaccine are received the whole of Prachuap Khiri Khan will see 70% of the population vaccinated in time helping the wider opening of the province that contains Hua Hin.

Have they fixed the overpriced Beach Restaurants yet or put down decent and properly maintained Pavements for people to walk on; or maybe even Rubbish Bins every 50 mts to stop people dumping garbage anywhere and everywhere ?   Won't be going back until such things are done; maybe even until all the filthy overhead electrics are buried underground.

99% of the comments from arm chair critics who are visitiors (long term or short) that  have no say in Thai governmental affairs . Being fully vaccinated still doesnt keep the infectious negativity at bay.
