pedro01
Hi I have been getting commission/Affiliate payments from a US company - and now their payment provider is changed. So I'm looking at a W-8Ben and haven't figured out if there will be 30% withholding tax - I do see Thailand appears on the list of income tax treaties with US - but I don't want to fall foul of filling in the form the wrong way. Any of you in Thailand done this or know a decent tax guy that can assist. These legal documents on taxes make my eyes glaze over. Pedro
Orac
I have to complete a couple for brokers i hold us stocks with - they are valid for three years. Only problem i have with them is not having a TIN (Tax ID no) in Thailand so leave that box blank and include something recent with my thai addresss on and explanation in email that tax id not required if no income generated in Thailand. Withholding tax reduced from 30% to 15% due to bilateral treaty between US-TH Edited September 21, 2021 by Orac
