Interior minister Anupong Paojinda was a busy man yesterday as tropical storm Tianmu swept in from Laos.

Daily News reported that the storm was recording winds of 65 kmph.

Widespread flooding , mudslides and disruption was forecast.

Anupong was working on evacuation plans and flood mitigation measures.

Local officials, police, military and volunteers groups were all being mobilized yesterday to deal with the effects of the storm.

Soi Lengkee likely gave up months before that, or maybe everything was already shuttered/closed.

Sad, had good times in that area.

This is why Thailand needs submarines...

Looks like Sukhothai and Chaiyaphum need those submarines right about now to rescue those flooded out.

Every odd season, the rains have been known to extend themselves well into Loy Kratong.
