If you receive a payment via PayPal that's larger than usual, be prepared for your account to be suspended pending proof of ID etc etc. I'd advise only using PayPal for small transactions, and withdraw any money you receive via PayPal immediately. 4

I can’t read the story (site blocked for EU visitors), but I wouldn’t worry about it, although I am curious why she has been unable to getting this resolved, without having to sue. I’ve had PayPal accounts in five different countries, and had millions go through them, occasionally I’ve run into “you need to provide us with documents” as part of their KYC/AML. but the issue always got resolved, once they got the requested documents.
