Seems like it plugs in to the fuel mapping management system, overiding original settings, say for instance you fit one of these ECUs, and take your truck in for warranty work or a service, if they found this ECU, i would think that warranty would be voided there and then, also if this device goes wrong, would your original ECU need to be re-mapped? as for fuel economy, way up! most of todays engines are built and made to run at about 80% of there max power for obvious reasons, but if youve here and hire a pick-up for a few weeks, you could have some fun with this!!

you can actually get the same type of things for other makes that require no cutting of wires at all. They literally plug into the service port and thats it.

any warranty probs or when the car is due a service its just a case of unplugging it and the car looks normal to the diagnostic machines
