Personally, I think that it is very sad that they are being sent back into what is likely to be a war zone. I thought that Thailand was crying out for labour? I thought that Thailand was crying out for labour? I'm very familiar with Fang district. No war zone across the border there. But I wonder if they test positive for Covid, will they send them back or will they be allowed to stay.

Not only Burmese migrant workers but Cambodians as well. From the Khmer Press (13th October 2021):- "A massive number of Cambodians were stopped in their tracks while attempting to sneak into Thailand by border patrol force in Battambang....... A total of 130 people were arrested...... and are looking for work despite the current pandemic situation in Thailand" https://www.khmertimeskh.com/50950903/border-force-intercept-more-than-100-cambodians-in-process-of-illegally-crossing-border-into-thailand/
