Thai PBS reported that the health authorities in Bangkok had surveyed 15 malls in Bangkok and the surrounding areas for their Covid-19 protocols.

Twelve failed to some degree.

Dr Suwannachai Wattanayingcharoenchai of the Department of Health said that all malls, shopping centers and community malls needed to follow the Covid Free Setting rules consisting of cleaning of frequently touched surfaces like areas of toilets and lift buttons every one to two hours and limit the operation time of places like restaurants, salons spas and tattooists to two hours at a time.

A survey was done in Bangkok, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani and Nonthaburi from September 28th to October 18th.

Only three passed all aspects of the regulations.

The other 12 failed in some aspects like not limiting patrons, lack of social distancing at restaurants and ATK testing of staff every 7 days.

The malls could be prosecuted and Suwannachai added that the public should report infringements.
