New Phone Riddled with Garbage Apps
Agreed. I bought a Redmi Note 8 nearly 5 years ago and after 3 months put a custom ROM on it with Android 10 as I was so hacked off with the telemetry. Persevered with various banking hacks (for a Thai bank) for a few years before conceding and buying a separate phone to use pretty much exclusively for that. I could upgrade it but why......... The "old" phone is still my daily driver. No Google or Meta and AF Wall+ stops most outgoing telemetry from the phone. Punching in the dark - probably, but makes me feel better...... -

Quake Jolts Thai Tourism: Rising Concerns Over Safety
Horrid truth is that less then 10% of Buildings in Bangkok are Quake Proof; the main reason for this is that Bangkok is not high on the list of vulnerable to Earthquakes. However; as time passes this is likely to change as The Planet is finding ways to punish Man for causing so much change and turmoil right across the World. Future Generations will be a lot weaker, sicker and die earlier than the long lives many of us are now enjoying owing to many different factors, all Man made. Babies are now being born with Microplastics in their bodies and will develop Cancerous symptoms before they are even Teenagers. -

Government Hires Crackpot to "Study" Nonexistent Link Between Vaccines and Autism
First off, you claim there wasn't the mountain of studies. Clearly your claim was false, right? -

Government Hires Crackpot to "Study" Nonexistent Link Between Vaccines and Autism
No doubt one of your heroes...sadly: "Andrew Jeremy Wakefield (born 3 September 1956[3][4][a]) is a British fraudster, anti-vaccine activist, and disgraced former physician. He was struck off the medical register for "serious professional misconduct"[7] due to his involvement in the fraudulent 1998 Lancet MMR autism study that falsely claimed a link between the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine and autism." The publicity surrounding the study caused a sharp decline in vaccination uptake, leading to a number of outbreaks of measles around the world and many deaths therefrom. ... The Lancet fully retracted Wakefield's 1998 publication on the basis of the GMC's findings, noting that elements of the manuscript had been falsified and that the journal had been "deceived" by Wakefield.[19][20] Three months later, Wakefield was struck off the UK medical register, in part for his deliberate falsification of research published in The Lancet.[7][21] In a related legal decision, a British court held that "[t]here is now no respectable body of opinion which supports [Wakefield's] hypothesis, that MMR vaccine and autism/enterocolitis are causally linked". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Wakefield
