That's why I move those deposits to another account ASAP. The bank probably didn't notify you of the deposit either, they are simply acting on a banking order you authorized. That's nonsense, no one has "withdrawal rights" to a third party bank account, only authorised signatories can do that. However, a bank does have the right to reverse an incorrect credit that it was responsible for.

digbeth
Normally when they reverse a mistake like this, it'd appear the same way it originated or not at all, perhaps there's something with their app that's made it show up as purchases, I'd contact the bank in person to get a printed statement of the last days to see what it actually says on the system, or act as if you'd never known about the double payment and contact their frauds department saying you saw a withdrawal of that amount showing purchases which you's never made

No, they do not "have the right to play with" customers; accounts, they do have the right to correct incorrect transactions, though, and that you choose to call it "playing with" is your problem. They did notify you of the debit, it was on your statement.

Moonlover
How on earth did something so trivial as 'bank makes error in the morning and corrects in the afternoon' run to 3 pages?
