Insurance question

Featured Replies

My situation: Booked a flight to Thailand in December from country with visa exemption. Have to start from scratch because my immi-O and re-entry expired 1 year ago. Since years I have an insurance at Aetna which covers 1 million THB for hospital expenses + 8.000 / day for the room.

My questions:

1) do I need an insurance covering 3 millions?

2) does a 3 million insurance includes covid19 issues if it is explicitly mentioned?

3) do I need the required $ 50.000 covid19 insurance in addition?

4) are these general immigration regulations for all travellers from exemption countries or are they depending from country to country and I have to ask the embassy?

Are reliable answers already possible in these confusing times and in the still existing information jungle?

Very happy for any inputs because I have to renew and/or upgrade my insurance next week.

you need now only $50k so 1.75mln baht.

ask your insurer for covid letter.

no, health insurance covers you

you can renew your insurance in december, they should still carry no claim

Aetna would normally send you a certificate, but your policy does not qualify needs to be $50,000 USD.

Suggest you contact them to see if you can upgrade it or you will need to get another Policy.
