Sounds like a bunch of TVF posters have started a new forum.

I generally found the Northern/Eastern folk, including the various ethnic minority tribes, welcoming and charming, unlike many of the obnoxious and racist Thai establishment "hi-so's" from Bangkok

I'll second that. My main reason for leaving teaching in BKK. Such incredible arrogance. Night and day back out here in Issan. Same % of students who hardly do anything, but at least out here they're more polite about it, hah.

Yeah, "Clubhouse"? The correct headline would just be "Social Media Attacks". They did this stuff in the early dot com days too: "OMG! Something's happening on (some unknown site)!" Someone at Thai PBS is doing a little advertising for their uncle or cousin or whoever over there.

Same old stereotypes.

Nothing to see here.

Some might suggest Lisa moved to Korea because her career only path in Buriram planting rice wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

Her other skills were going to waste.

Lisa is the step daughter of a well known Swiss chef in Thailand. She got a decent education in Bangkok.

People talking on forums is news these days .

Everyone taking turns of getting their ten minutes of fame

A concern for what? That an insignificantly small group of anonymous edge-lords have said something bad about a group consisting of tens of millions of people? Laugh about their ignorance and need to push other people down in order to feel better about themselves, and move on with your lives.

Historically, Isaan has been the receiving side of said stereotypes and narratives - from everyone. Be it negative or positive.

With all their negatives (not too many, actually), don’t think I would like to stay in this country without its Isaan people. They are, probably, less educated but they are also childish, naive and fun-loving  personalities who cannot properly plan their future. Which makes it impossible not to feel sympathy for them.

Kind of ironic, we are discussing what they discussed.

I could think of nothing else to talk about. ????

At one point, BLACKPINK member, Lalisa Manoban, who was born in Buri Ram province, was also mentioned, with one of the users saying “If Isaan is that great, Lisa would’ve come home. Lisa living there [South Korea] is much better than living in Isaan”.

She lives in South Korea because that’s where the k-pop company who control nearly every aspect of her life and career tell her she is going to live…
