Popular Post webfact
Daily News picture example: Criminals add sound in clip The Royal Thai Police's deputy spokesman Pol Col Siriwat Deephor said that a video of himself was used by a call center gang extorting money from people. In the clip he was speaking from behind a mask to which criminals had added their own soundtrack. This is to convince people that their bank accounts have been used for criminal activity. They are threatened that if they don't transfer all their funds to the police for investigation they will find themselves facing jail on money laundering charges. Many believe such ruses coming from criminals purporting to be state employees or bank reps. Pol Col Siriwat told Daily News that the criminals were becoming smarter in their ploys to deceive the public and this was one example. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-11-16 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates Get your business in front of millions of customers who read ASEAN NOW with an interest in Thailand every month - email [email protected] for more information
