The Bangkok Governor’s Office warned residents living alongside the Chao Phraya River on Tuesday to watch out for possible floods in the coming week.

Aswin Kwanmuang, Bangkok Governor, posted a warning on his Facebook page that high water levels are expected between November 20-26 and December 6-9.

The Hydrographic Department has also issued a warning of the rising water levels in the area around the Royal Thai Navy Headquarters and Phra Chulachomklao Fort between November 19 to 28.

Much of our village is still flooded although the level is well down on previously.

Watching closely.

Thought the flooding being predicted was from High Tides, not rain.

I just pray that "they" don't interfere too much, and direct all the water East and West to avoid flooding in central Bangkok.

Thonburi has not forgotten 2011.......

The dates they are quoting do indeed correspond with spring tides, which are higher.

The problem with rivers though is that they are subject to the combined effect of high tides and the amount of water flowing down. That's why they had to build the Thames barrier.

I do so hope that waster of a PM gets flooded, that would be divine retribution ????
