Daily News reported that a park ranger in Thailand's oldest national park was in the news for the calm way that he handled a wild elephant in musth.

This is the period when male elephants get frisky.

Ranger Wisut Sinkha in the Khao Yai park knew what to do when an elephant called Tiger appeared on the road heading towards Prachinburi and caused a bit of a stir among tourists.

A video showed him directing the pachyderm back from whence he came with the minimum of fuss.

Wisut played down his abilities and urged the public not to beep their horns at elephants on the road or get out of their vehicles and use flash photography that may startle them.

He advised people to just drive on. If this was not possible back up and call the rangers - they know what to do.
