Heroin and ecstasy smuggling gang arrested at housing estate near Bangkok

Metropolitan police chief Pol Lt-gen Samran Nuanma announced the arrest of four drug smugglers who brought heroin and ecstasy from the north east to Pathum Thani north of the Thai capital Bangkok.

 

Arrested were Wuthipong, 28, from Kamphaeng Phet, Suphakorn, 23, from bangkok and two females Thiwaporn 23, from Pathum Thani and Phimphit, 19, from Lopburi.

Taken into evidence was 12 kilos of heroin and 1.9 kilos of ecstasy in pill and capsule form.

 

The latter was concealed in a famous brand of coffee in sachets. 

 

Two vehicles were also taken into evidence.

The arrest was done at the Bunjarik Housing Estate in Lamlukka. 

 

Police said that the case resulted from continuing inquiries after other big busts in Bangkok.

 

Teams heard about the delivery to customers on November 17th so the authorities were tipped off and ready and waiting.

 

The two male ringleaders of the gang said they had done this many times before over the last 4 months.

 

They would pick the drugs up from the side of the road in a north east border area before delivering it to customers in the central region, reported Daily News. 

 

They were paid 30,000 to 40,000 baht a time.

Why were they arrested?

They have proved their eligibility to become members of the Thai government. For the job as minister of agriculture perhaps?

No word about the backers of the drug trade as usual. Always catching the distributors but not the real smugglers or even manufacturers....

Thailand has a massive drug problem just in the last few months some serious amounts have been picked up, it's time to start looking at the source, arresting these guys is ok, some other guys will just take their place it doesn't stop the production,
