Well, let's see. I bought 100 shares of Netflix when it went public way back in 2002. Sometime later, can't remember exactly when, I was short on money and I sold all the shares, at a small profit. Google tells me those shares, with the stock splits, would now be worth around $480,000 to $500,000. That's a regret. I tend, though, not to wallow in regrets. I've often found, with things that happen, what I at first thought was a negative, later turned out not to be as time went on. For example, when I was just out of college, I interviewed for a job as an elementary school librarian. Really wanted the job at the time and regretted not being selected from those who interviewed. Later, I was selected for a library job at a community college and, in hindsight, this job suited me much better--so much so that I stayed for 30 years full-time and an additional 5 years part-time after I retired and before I moved to Thailand.
