Tippaporn
A fictionalised account of an actual event that took place in December 1914, when Wilhelm, German Crown Prince, sent the lead singer of the Berlin Imperial Opera company on a solo visit to the front line. Singing by the tenor, Walter Kirchhoff, to the 120th and 124th Württemberg regiments led French soldiers in their trenches to stand up and applaud. Tippaporn
I haven't seen this one yet. either. It purports to follow Dicken's novella faithfully. It certainly looks entertaining and creative.
Tippaporn
Can't go wrong with Bob Hope, William Frawley, and Marilyn Maxwell for laughs in The Lemon Drop Kid (1951).

I tend to shy away from newer Christmas movies due to the severe case of wokeness in liberal Glittertown. I did notice in the trailer a couple of token blacks. Any LBGTQ&^@%&++++? LOL Every new Disney movie has token minorities, but in this case nothing related to sex eg lesbians. The main character is a bit young for any hanky panky. Tippaporn
And the ultimate Christmas classic, A Christmas Carol (1938). Of the three silver screen classics I rate 'em: Tie for 1st - The 1935 & 1951 versions. 2nd only by a c-hair - The 1938 version.
Tippaporn
This concludes this 2021 Christmas movie thread. And now a teaser for Holiday Movie threads to come in 2022. See you then, folks. The Exorcist (1973) . It's got religion, but not the "good will and good cheer to all men" and "away in the manger" kind. Die Hard fans will looooove it!
